VW T4 Petrol Engine

Working on your VW T4 engine?

As you are probably aware the T4 was available with both a diesel and T4 petrol engine option during its production run of 12 years. These were fitted in the Panel Van, Multivan and the T4 Caravelle models.

In this section we offer a large range of parts to help with maintaining and rebuilding your VW T4 petrol engine. Whether you have a 4 cylinder, 5 cylinder or the six cylinder T4 VR6 engine there should be plenty of T4 spares to help keep your VW Transporter engine in fine fettle.

Strip down and rebuild T4 engine parts

Whether your VW T4 petrol engine needs a new head gasket, a cambelt change, or even new bearings we can help. If you can’t see the Transporter engine parts you need, then give us a call, or pop us a message on Live Chat.

Making T4 engine servicing simple

Our VW T4 engine service kits include a new T4 air filter, pollen filter, T4 oil filter, and fuel filter and replacement sump plug washer. Simply add any additional T4 service parts like HT leads, spark plugs or oil to your basket before you check out.

Oil leaks and nasty noises.

It’s important to keep on top of the servicing schedule on your T4 and be vigilant to any T4 oil leaks, or nasty noises you may hear. A small oil leak could become a larger one at any point, and that may lead to a breakdown; be it on your way to work, or with the family going on holiday. Older Volkswagens, such as the VW T4 aren’t the quietest of vehicles, but nasty knocking noises from the engine bay should be taken seriously. You may find your T4 engine mounts are overdue replacement; in which case we can help, or the noise could be down to a worn T4 engine bearing or component instead. Either way, take a second to check, rather than risking a journey not knowing.

IMPORTANT: Please check your engine code before ordering using our engine number info page some vehicles may not have their original engines, so using your car's production year or log book as a guide is not advisable.
