Chrome plated O.E. / 356 style steel wheel.

This wheel is 15 inch by 5.5 inches wide with an offset of +15.

The finish on these wheels is PVD chrome. The rims are not traditionally chromed but electronic chrome PVD plated. PVD treatment gives a higher gloss than electrolytic plating. PVD stands for physical vapour deposition, it is an advanced method of powder coating. You can treat these wheels the same as you would treat your paintwork. If you get any chips of the paint is damaged then the steel will be exposed to the elements and rust will occur. We recommend Auto Finesse products, using their wax AF000007 to keep a protective coat on your wheels

These are designed for using original VW hubcaps and some reproductions will not fit including our AC601762SS or could damage the finish.

im replacing the wheels on a 66' ghia with stock suspension. will these wheels fit front and back with no other modification? looking at 185/70/15 tires
Question by: William Miller on 27 Jun 2018 01:46:00
They will fit fine as the 66 Ghia is fitted with the shorter rear axles

Sorry for my ignorance - the difference between this wheel and AC601140 appears to be width. Is that correct? Are both compatible with a 1967 Beetle? What is 'back space'?
Question by: Andy C on 21 Aug 2017 15:36:00
AC601140 are 4.5" wide AC601142 are 5.5" wide

Backspace is the measurement from the mating surface to the rear lip of the wheel.

Pls advise on clearance for 5.5 wide wheels for 1964 VW beetle.

How would 4.5 front + 5.5 rear option go.

What size tyre can be fitted to these rims. Would like low profile.

Question by: Chris on 2 Jan 2018 01:40:00
A 64 Beetle has short rear axles so you will have no issues with clearance and can easily fit a 205 width tyre. For the front with a 4.5 you can use a 145/65 low profile
