KYB gas a just are a heavy duty shock with heavy duty damping. These are best suited to Type 2 buses or the rear of smaller vehicles that need beefing up. Gas pressurised with a firm ride

It is very important to fit the correct length shocks to a lowered car. There must be at least 2 inches of up and down travel from the normal ride height. To ascertain what length you require you must measure the distance between the shock mountings on your vehicle after you have removed the existing shock. This must be done with the vehicle on its road wheels (not on a jack). Once you have measured you need to check it against the shock absorbers we list to see which ones you need.

Prior to fitting new shock absorbers always pump it through a few strokes the correct way up. This removes bubbles that may have formed in the fluid whilst in storage and improves the effectiveness.

Product Questions

Hi there,
Please can you tell me if these shocks would be suitable for my 1961 lowered split bus. It has a narrowed slamwerks beam and dropped spindles; with the shock absorbers still on, there is a bolt to bolt measurement of 310mm. There is still movement up and dwon on the existing shocks when pressure is applied over the arches.
Many thanks, Dominic

The only way to tell for sure if these will fit, is to put the vehicle on its wheels and under its own weight without any shocks fitted. Then measure the distance between the top and bottom mounts in millimeters. If the measurement is somewhere between the measurements shown, they should be suitable.
