We are committed to protecting your privacy.

We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for two reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

credit/debit card details

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.

None of the information we collect will be given or sold to third parties unless the information needs to be shared in order to deliver your order (see 'Third Parties' and 'Outside Agents' below).

We will not email you after your order confirmation has been sent without your consent and we will give you the chance to refuse any further marketing email from us after such consent has been given.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us at privacy@vwheritage.com. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.

If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

We use technology to track the visitors progress through our site and to process orders. This can include using "cookies" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information stored in this way cannot be used to identify you personally and is deleted on closing your browser.

Data Storage Security

All transmission of sensitive data to and from VW Heritage is conducted under SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Encryption, enabled by a certificate issued by Thawte. SSL is the standard secure interface for millions of internet transactions every day.

Our database and web servers are housed behind professionally managed firewalls in a data centre with 24x7 security guards and video camera surveillance.

Third Parties

Information that we receive about you, obtained from on-line orders and catalogue requests is not passed outside VW Heritage unless strictly necessary to deliver your order (see "Outside Agents" below). Our chief concern is to respect your personal details and privacy.

Outside Agents

We use carrier companies such as Business Post, TNT and Royal Mail to deliver your order. Your name and address only are held on the carrier�s computers in order that delivery may occur. Only when formally requested to do so would we release information about you, for example during the course of a Police or Customs investigation.
