- Check strap (211-837-249/A)is required for 1975-1979 buses, A plate will need to be fabricated to mount the check strap.
These doors will bolt straight on to pre 1976 vans with the new hinges supplied and countersunk screws.
On 1976-1979 vans the old door hinge half (part that bolts to the van) will have to be used as they bolt on with M8 bolts not counter sunk screws. The new doors have 10mm hinge pins and original 76-79 vans have 8mm hinge pins. To fit the new doors the old hinge half will need to be drilled out with a 10mm drill bit and the new pin used.
1968 year only vans have a one year only door handle which won't fit. Door release mounts are not standard european configuration.
