Fitting Info

This is a VW Mexico chassis which has some differences to original European Chassis. Spec as follows:
- Left hand Drive. No mounting points for Right hand Drive pedal cluster or master cylinder, so mod needed
- Front gearbox mount is '61-'72 European spec
- Torsion bar front suspension / Swing Axle rear.
- Seat mounts are for Mexican (Golf-style) seats. Modify for earlier type as required
- Gear selector rod required is 73-79 type (part 111-711-155/G)
- No tubes for rear underseat heater cables
- Extra mounts and 2 x larger bore fuel lines for Mexican fuel injection system
- Rear chassis-to-body mounts are '68-'79 height. Mod body if earlier shell used
