Mark - Operations Director
Mark's 'Family' car was another one of those that "won't get much done to it". 2 years later and a list of modifications say otherwise. Read more...
Mark - Operations Director - 1999 2.5 T4 Caravelle TDI
About the vehicle -
Mark had been on the look out for a 2.5 T4 caravelle for quite a while until one of our staff members informed him of this one. A quick look over was all that was needed for the deal to be done.
The van received paintwork to give it a tidy up before the modifications begun. First to be fitted were the 17" Porsche Cup replica wheels. The van was then lowered 60mm to bring the arches down over the low profile tyres.
To finish the bodywork, a set of half smoked rear lights were bolted up, and all the badges detailed in satin black.
A stainless steel, de-cat exhaust system was added to replace the tired old system. Future plans for the caravelle include a re-map and a wheel refurbishment.

Andy - Sales
After a 9 year tidy up, this scrapyard salvaged MK1 Polo is back on the open road. Read more...
Andy - Sales - 1976 MK1 Polo
About the vehicle -
When Andy went to the local VW breakers, he never thought he'd be leaving with an entire car. But when he first saw the little MK1 Polo, he just had to have it. For the reasonable sum of £50, the car was towed back home and inspected. The car was, to be expected, rotten. So began a 9 year task of getting the car MOT'd and back on the road. Most of the metal work has been replaced and the original 800cc motor rebuilt. A 40mm lowered suspension kit was fitted to bring the arches down around the black and polished SSP fooks. Future plans include fitting a 5 speed gearbox and a repaint.

Anna - Sales
A 2.0 engined Golf would probably be powerful enough for most people's needs. But not our Anna, she wanted more and now she has it. Read more...
Anna - Sales - 1991 Golf GTi VR6 & 2004 Lupo TDI
About the vehicle -
MK2 Golf GTI VR6
Anna has owned this MK2 Golf for nearly 7 years. In this time it has seen a couple of incarnations. Originally when Anna first got the car it was Pale Blue, running a 2.0 8v motor and VW Sebring alloys. Over the years the car has received a full repaint, several different sets of wheels, leather interior and most importantly, a cam'd 2.9 VR6 engine.
The car is now sitting nice and low over some 8 and 9j BBS Split rims, up front you'll see a Rallye front end and a polished rollcage in the back.
2004 Lupo TDI
The Lupo is Anna's trusty daily driver. Not wanting something too standard and boring as the daily hack, she decided to set about making the drive into work slightly more interesting.
The Lupo has received a set of coilovers, wound down basically as far as they'll go to bring the car down over the 7 and 9 x 14" Alloys. No engine modifications are planned as I'm sure she's more than happy with the 60+ MPG she gets from it!

Raef - Sales
Raef's Golf should hopefully make its first appearance in the Heritage staff car park in 2012, find out more about him and the car here...
Raef - Sales - 1982 MK1 Golf
About the vehicle -
Raef's Golf is another VW Heritage vehicle that we're waiting to see in the flesh! It's been quite a secretive project so far as he has big plans for a grand unveiling at Ultimate Dubs 2012.
It's currently running a Rebuilt 16v KR engine with throttle bodies and stand alone management, kept breathing with a 4 branch manifold and race exhaust system. The power is housed inside a smoothed, contrasting blue engine bay with everything but the engine hidden in the boot!
Inside it's a rather scarce affair, with just a Recaro Pole position keeping the driver comfortable. Flared wheel arches, and a full repaint in the original white are the treats the bodywork have received. Wheels......he won't tell us! You'll just have to wait and find out.

Gary - eBay Sales - 2001 T4 Transporter
About the vehicle -
Gary has been around the VW scene for many years now and has had a massively impressive list of previously owned vehicles. This T4 Multivan is one of his most recent purchases for a daily run-around. Being a daily driver he wanted to keep it as original as possible. The bus has received a full service and mechanical check over and a faulty sliding door repaired.
Future plans include a full valet inside and out, to make those long journeys just that little more enjoyable.

Dave - Goods In
Dave thought this high spec MK2 was far too good to leave laying in the dusty corner of the Heritage carpark. Read more...
Dave - Goods In - 1991 Golf GTI
About the vehicle -
This white MK2 Golf originally found its way into the Heritage car park in the hands of our Trade Sales manager Ben. When the offer of a New Beetle came up Ben thought it was time to move on, and so the little Golf was left sitting outside.
Dave had has his eye on the car for a while and eventually made an offer. It's a '91 8v GTI which seems to have had all the boxes ticked in the showroom! Equipped with a leather interior, electric windows, sunroof and even working air-conditioning!
Dave has MOT'd the car, fully valeted, new stereo as well as a few necessary parts to get it running as sweet as the day it left the factory.
Future plans for the car include a performance exhaust system, paintwork and a mop over.

Joel - Goods In
This Lupo belongs to our Goods In assistant Joel. Bought as a daily driver to replace a pretty boring Megane! Read more...
Joel - Goods In - 2002 VW Lupo 1.0
About the vehicle -
Joel has always been a bit of a VW fanatic, so the daily drive of a Renault Megane was just never going to fit the bill.
He decided to take the sensible step and buy a ludicrously low VW Lupo to use for the daily commute.
To make it mildly more comfortable, the car has been raised up an inch or so and the car was given a full clean throughout. The car is currently sat on stock 13" steels but plans are in the pipeline for another new set of alloys. Otherwise the Lupo will remain largely stock as he concentrates on his other VW, his '67 bug.
