For sale is my 1983 MK1 Golf GTi Cabriolet Karman. (NOT Clipper!)

It’s been garaged for the last 3 years and on a SORN for the last two years. I have recently had its MOTed and 10 months remain. 5 months TAX. Its done 191000 miles, good for year.

Last year I replaced the roof as the old one was looking tatty, I also replaced the hydraulic tappets as well as the normal service stuff oil, K&N Air filter, spark plugs etc.

Over 10 years ago I had the engine and gearbox reconditioned by Big Boys Toys so it does not burn or leak oil and pulls well. It was lowered by the previous owner and corners well, I had intended to return it to normal height but never got round to it.

Only needed a new rear break hand break cable for its last MOT, though I would recommend a new set of tires due to cracking on the side walls in the not too distant future. Caused by being stood in the garage.. It has a set of revolution wheels.7

The front seats have a few holes in the leather but never bothered me enough to replace. The rear seat are trimmed with Billabong material. This is ripped in places, but the original Volkswagen material is underneath so with some careful unpicking could be uncovered.

I am selling because I just have too many VW project cars and I have run out of cash to spend and space to put them!
