These are a combined header and silencer packages with 1 & 3/8 inch diameter pipework. Thunderbird and EMPI exhaust systems are supplied in complete packages like this, whereas Bugpack supply silencers and header seperately. We also stock Thunderbird silencers and headers seperately.
**Please note**
These exhausts are coated with transport paint only. Prior to fitting they will need repainting with a high temperature exhaust paint. This is to ensure a longer lasting finish.

LARGE FLANGE COMBO SYSTEMS
These are a combined header and silencer packages with 1 & 1/2 inch diameter pipework. Thunderbird and EMPI exhaust systems are supplied in complete packages like this, whereas Bugpack supply silencers and header seperately. We also stock Thunderbird silencers and headers seperately.
TYPE 4 COMBO EXHAUSTS
These exhausts fit the 1700cc, 1800cc & 2000cc bus engines (these higher powered engines were first fitted to VW Type 4 cars and, accordingly, are now generally referred to as 'Type 4' engines). VW began to fit Type 4 engines to Bay Window buses in late 1971 and they were used up until 1983 (so are fitted to many early Type 25 buses). If fitting one of these exhausts to a Type 25 the rear panel may need minor modification.
