We have had a lot of really good feedback from people who have bought and sold cars here, but do be aware that the internet is a big place and someone might be giving you false information.

Here's something that has happened to one of our customers who was selling their car on the site:
Someone posing as a buyer from overseas for his car sent him a cheque to pay for the beetle, plus the cost of shipping. After 4 days, when the cheque had cleared, he was supposed to withdraw £1800 to pay the shipping agent (who must have been in on the scam). However after 5 days his bank told him that there was a problem with the original cheque, and it was debiting the whole amount from his account again... apparently this can happen up to 10 days after you bank a cheque. Luckily he had not handed over any cash to the shipper so he did not lose out.

I have heard of this scam being tried by people in Africa, Holland and the USA. So... be very careful when selling (or buying) stuff on the web.
