Superb 1970 model year (first registered Jan 1st 1971) Early Bay Westfalia LHD Camper. MOT May 2011. Tax exempt. USA dry state import from Randy Carlson (Oldbugs) 2008. Over $6000 receipts. No rust in the underside, totally solid and waxoiled. Original features which match the 'M plate' are Westfalia Campmobile interior (including three quarter width rock and roll bed, sink and cool box), and servo assisted brakes (superb), I have checked all other 'Mcodes' and they are accurate. I have just spent 1500 plus setting her up and she now drives beautifully. Work done by Funkenblitz (Portsmouth) included: setting a good lowered ride height; new adjustable Spax shocks at front; new custom Scat dragshift, (replacement bushes at the front (phosphor bronze) and rear of shifter); she now changes gear absolutely beautifully: tight and with 'feel'; new exhaust 4 into 1 header; new stainless steel 'Phoenix' twin quiet pack exhaust silencer; new Bosch 009 distributor fitted with brand new electronic ignition; carb rejetted and tuned; new heater cables need fitting, (no rust at all, heater works well all channels air blasted through). It also comes with 4 new EMPI wheels in white and very good Yokohama tyres, aluminium sidestep; jailbars in rear window; new hammock in roof; full awning; Thule roof bars; FIAMMI bick rack for rear; leisure battery with 240 volt step up output; kenwood sound with custom speakers and front parcel shelf. It is of course tax exempt. In summary this van drives beautifully; it feels tight, responsive with lovely handling and good stopping; the engine pulls consistently and looses no oil. I have spent alot of time and trouble getting it right to sell. Absolutely ready to take camping and to shows, a really 'good one.' Minor cosmetic details are all that you will find need addressing.
