Fitting T4 Audi Style Headlamps

Headlights 10

Kevin who works in the Warehouse has got a T4 project he has been working on (and driving day to day too)… Last weekend he treated it, (Horace is its name) to a set of new headlamps – Here’s how to fit them if you are considering doing similar, quite kindly he wrote us a guide!

First was to remove the 5 screws that hold the grill and panel in and remove it in one piece then remove old headlights and indicators in one

Then unplug and remove the dim/dip ballast resistor, the thing that makes your headlights come on in dim mode insted of just side lights. This is located under the front slam panel, above the drivers side headlight. If I left this plugged in my head lights would come on with my side lights insted of them being independent from each other ( you need to do this with these lights and the headlight upgrade from autosparks)

Then its a simple plug in with the new lights and put them in place!

I had to put some washers between the fixings and panel on the bottom to make them fit nice and square, then screw the front panel back on

If you are looking to do the same then check out these lamps on our website here.

Stay tuned and see what is next for Horace.

  1. Great improvement on the standard lights, I guess there non VE parts. A picture of them a night would be a great seller too. How much are they then?

Hi, these are £250 a set – click on the “here” link to find them online. Great idea to have night time shots of them, will see what we can do ;)

  3. I read Kevin’s article in vwt mag! Just a cheeky one to see if he’d email me some pictures of inside of cupboards on his conversion and tell me depth of ikea units he used
